We start with a phone call to find out your exact vision for the session, which products matter the most to you and see if we are a good fit for each other.
BOOKING AND STYLE CONSULTATION
When you book your session with me, you are booking a custom portrait session experience that is designed to create fine art work displayed in your home. We discuss your vision for the session and how you would like your portraits to be enjoyed in the comfort of your home. During this time, we take all the guesswork of choosing outfits and choosing color schemes for your session that best complements your style.
YOUR SESSION DAY!
During your portrait session, this is your time to relax as your little one is being photographed! If family portraits is something that we are doing, this is when you get to be pampered by our hair and make-up artist!
GALLERY REVEAL AND ORDERING
Following your session, we will meet again for an exciting appointment where you get to see and select your images and view various ways of how they can be displayed on your home walls, enjoyed in prints and/or a gorgeous album.
This is when you will place your order and pay for your products that you only absolutely love!
FINISHED PRODUCTS
When you products are carefully printed and examined to perfection, they will be delivered to your home with an optional installation! All products with babybare are guaranteed for life!
What do I do to book a newborn session? Simple. Contact me and we will chat on the phone to discuss your needs and how I can help you achieve them.
Do you work during the week or weekends? I take on a limited amount of sessions a month. They are done Monday through Friday and begin at around 10:30am. Weekends are available in special circumstances for a small fee.
Do you provide props for the sessions? Yes, most definitely! My studio is stocked with various props and everything that is needed to create an amazing gallery. I do however love to include a family heirloom if it is appropriate to use for the session. We can discuss all of this at our pre-session consultation.
Mini vs Full Newborn Session:
During a mini session only simple poses are used while the baby is wrapped. It's a very good way to get beautiful images of your baby and not spend hours in the studio. You'll be presented a gallery of gorgeous images to select your favorite products from. Parents, siblings and grandparents are welcome to join.
Full sessions last on average two to two and half hours. Multiple setups are used and time spent on more complicated poses and setups. Full sessions also allow for parents, siblings and grandparents to be included in.
What is Unscripted Newborn session?
Unscripted newborn session focuses strictly on the baby without props and with very minimal posing. It incorporates parents holding baby capturing special connections. These sessions are done on a white background and are delivered in both color and black & white. Make sure to check out newborn galleries to know what to expect.
Hybrid
Hybrid is when you would like to include posed and unscripted types of sessions into one! We will discuss this and more at your pre-session appointment.
What do I wear to the session if I'm being photographed? We will talk about your wardrobe, can even go "shopping" in your closet for best outfits during your in-home style consultation!
When should we book the newborn session? Anytime. But I book up pretty fast. Parents usually book their session as soon as they find out they are pregnant. But if you are late in the game, no worries, contact me and I'll see how I can accommodate you.
Can you photograph my older children at the session? Yes, absolutely! I welcome siblings, grandparents and fur babies. If the time allows we can even do a quick headshot shoot at the end, just of them!
